ST-Contact Lens is one of Susrut's flagship National programmes, built around the same 1:1 supervised operating-room model that has trained thousands of ophthalmic professionals since 2010. Class sizes are kept small enough that every participant gets real console time, not just a seat in the gallery — feedback is given case-by-case, immediately after each session, while the details are still fresh. This training is part of Susrut's broader mission: reducing avoidable blindness by making sure every ophthalmologist who completes a Susrut programme is genuinely, not just nominally, competent in National. Trainees also get access to a growing video library of graded cases from previous batches, useful for revisiting technique variations and complications outside of scheduled session hours.
